Featured Amazon Rain™ Ingredients:

Brazil Nut Oil (Bertholletia excelsa)

Brazil Nuts are high in essential fatty acids, amino acids, and zinc and vitamins A and E, and selenium, an important antioxidant. Brazil nut oil lubricates and moisturizes skin, helps prevent dryness, and promotes a clear complexion.

Buriti Oil (Mauritia flexuosa)

Buriti oil is the richest source oil in beta carotene (higher than carrot oil) and is rich in carotenoids and pro-vitamin A. It is an excellent source of oleic fatty acids and has a full profile of other essential fatty acids. These compounds support the production of collagen and elastin to make skin soft and supple. It has emollient properties, is a free-radical scavenger, and protects and soothes skin.

Camu Camu (Myrciaria dubia)

The Camu Camu's red fruit produces the highest concentrated source of naturally-occurring vitamin C – thirty times more than an orange – and ten times as much iron, three times as much niacin, twice as much riboflavin, and fifty percent more phosphorus. It is a significant source of potassium, minerals, and amino acids, and supports your skin's elasticity, reduces pore size, and offers powerful anti-aging benefits.

Jatoba (Hymenaea courbaril)

Jatoba has a long history of use for the protection and care of damaged skin and has been shown to improve skin resistance and elasticity. The softening saponins and stimulating flavonoids in jatoba make it the ideal ingredient for cleansing, protecting, purifying and soothing the skin.

Marine Algae

Pure marine algae is rich in minerals, vitamins and micronutrients. The use of algae, which includes amino acids and vitamins, has been associated with many benefits including skin re-nourishment. Marine algae energizes skin cells – increasing blood flow at the skin's surface, opening pores and drawing out impurities.

Ultra-Fine Marine Silica Crystals

From the ocean's floor come tiny, refined silica micro-crystals. Crystal Exfoliator infuses these crystals into a skin-soothing marine algae gel base to gently clean and polish your skin.

Mineral Ash

The Rainforest soil is rich with naturally-occurring mineral composites, which are absorbed by plants. Our special processing reduces the plants' cellulose to an alkaline mineral ash. This mineral ash is blended into Crystal Exfoliator to energize and refine your skin.

Passion Flower Seed Oil (Passiflora incarnata)

A powerful source of bioflavanoids, passion flower seed oil strengthens tissue, promotes sebum regulation, and balances oil secretion. It is rich in fatty acids including up to 77% linoleic fatty acid. This beautiful plant also contains a full profile of potassium and vitamins A, B, and C, all of which are essential to healthy skin.

Rosehip Seed Oil (Rosa Mosqueta)

An excellent source of trans-retinoic acid (vitamin A) in a natural form. It also contains a generous complement of unsaturated fatty acids. It helps slow the aging process and smooth the appearance of uneven skin tone.

Samambaia (Polypodium decumanum)

The Rainforest fern Samambaia contains a host of phytochemicals including flavonoids, alkaloids, lipids, calagualine, ecdysone, elaidic acid, linoleic acid, linolenic acid, melilotoside, oleic acid, rutin and ricinoleic acid. Recent studies show its benefits for skin health. Samambaia's antioxidant compounds provide strong protection from environmental factors including helping to protect the skin from sun-associated aging.

Sangre de Drago (Croton lechleri)

Called "Blood of the Dragon" — the red sap of this Amazonian tree is used to support skin repair and regeneration, and fight the effects of aging. It contains up to 90% proanthocyandins (OPC's) a very potent class of antioxidant compounds. In addition, studies have shown the presence of taspines. These unique nutrients stimulate the migration of fibroblast cells responsible for tissue regeneration.

Uña de Gato (Uncaria tomentosa)

Uña de Gato, also known as cat’s claw, is a vine that grows up into the canopy of the Rainforest. It contains a group of oxindole alkaloids with proven antioxidant properties. New research shows it may be a powerful weapon against visible signs of aging. Researchers at the University of Lund in Sweden discovered the herb fights free radicals. Uña de Gato also contains glycosides that help soothe and refresh the skin.
